Our task was to think of a theme in which we must create a mix tape which it relates to. I chose to go with the alt rock genre, with a couple of indie tracks, this is because it tends to be the genre which I play most often. The title of the mix tape comes from a trending topic on twitter, which I felt was quite apt to the track listing I intended to use, and for the reasons behind it. The reason why I felt it was suitable was because 2011 was a tough year for my family, what with serious illnesses and a few family deaths. The album cover comes from a family friend who turns out to be quite good at photography.
